As most of our Mavrik friends & family know we lost our "Bossman," Sean Fincham in October of 2008. He was the heart of the Mavrik Corporation and we can't survive without our heart. Sole Estate on Clematis was the first to go, soon after we closed our Mavrik store in Royal Palm. Mavrik in Abacoa was the first store Sean opened and will be the last to close. As of January 1st, 2009 the Mavrik Corporation has been dissolved. The original Mavrik in Abacoa will be closed on August 20th. The remaining members of Mavrik would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt "Thank You" to our SK8 Team and all of our loyal customers.
The MEMORIAL DAY CELEBRATION last weekend was fun and full of fly fashions. DJ Rumble kept a great vibe going while our loyal customers hit the discounts. The Mavrik Abacoa SK8 Team wants to wish good luck and safe travels to Lickity. He will be traveling to California for 2 weeks to shred up the West Coast.
Our Hip-Hop Dance night was slammin'. We had a great turnout and want to say "Thank You" to all of our Mavrik friends that participated. The XCL Dancers were amazing and DJ Rumble held it down for Abacoa.

Mavrik's "Best Trick" Contest was killer. Thank You to all of you that showed up to show your support. Mavrik would also like to thank our SK8 Team, Randy, Alex Rodriguez, John D., Tyler, Matias, Colton Wallace, Bird & Miguel. Sorry we missed you Vince. Congratulations to Matias, who won a brand new deck for First Place. Congratulations to Colton Wallace, who came in second and received a pair of new wheels. Our next SK8 Team Event will be on Friday, May 29th. Mavrik's "Game of SK8," will start at 7pm in the Abacoa Skate Park. Please come and show your support for our local shredder's.
An update from Mavrik's SK8 Team...The meeting was led by Devin and was attended by Randy, Matias & Tyler. Lickity and Vince had to work and Bird was out of town. All are excited to get back in the groove. They are down for the "Best Trick" contest and the Game of SK8 and are working on getting some good photos and videos. Everyone agrees the shop looks great, stop by Abacoa and see for yourself. The next meeting will be on Friday, June 5th. The Mavrik SK8 Team will keep in touch frequently, keep checking our website for more updates.
Mavrik's Hip-Hop dances in Abacoa are back! Be there on May 16th to see the XCL Dancers in action from 9-11pm. We will be giving prizes to the hottest lady and the flyest guy. Come join the party, every other saturday night.
