he brings his unique influencesfrom his Japanese and American backgrounds to the designs.

Says Mike: "When I was young, some people were surprised to find out that I am half Japanese. Growing up, I always looked forward to celebrating each New Year's Day

with that side of my family. I love Japanese food and art, so I guess it's no surprise that those things sometimes end up being a part of my work."
